> Thanks for the reply. I am just paranoid. I have periods every 21 to 23 days as I mentioned and the PMS makes me feel bloated and about 5 to 7 lbs. heavier. I do exercise and stopped caffeine a while ago. It's probably stress, like I said. New job, divorce, abusise relationship, but it has got to get better now. I am also worried about weight gain on Celexa and have read different things. Any comments on that? >

When I took it I felt less hungry and energized. With almost all the antidepressants people may gain or lose weight depending on how it affects the individual. I really liked it for depression-it brought me out of it almost immediately but like I mentioned, it aggravated my anxiety disorder. It perked me up quite a bit except for that. You are going through an awful lot of stress right now and I think you need to take it easy (easier said than done, huh?). If I were you I wouldn't take on any more stressors and just try to take care of yourself. I used to gain quite a bit during PMS but not as much as I get older but I have put on weight. I'm just trying to get a little exercise and treat myself well. Are you out of the abusive relationship now? I've been in them, too, ugh. That's hard.

Regular exercise helps, too. I'm trying to get back into the swing of exercising. Took a short walk today-I'm so out of shape that my foot hurt from it! Also being prepared for the pms in advance can help-like having a plan of action to keep you busy during it or something similar.

I really didn't want to be medicated but finally broke down. I also have problems with my menstrual cycle (every 3 weeks and horrible PMS) and was wondering if Celexa affects your cycles. I was hoping if I don't obsess about things so much that my stress level would go down, which should regulate my hormones and actually help with my cycle. Am I fooling myself?
