My Wellbutrin experience, what next?

Posted by angelrose on October 18, 2000, at 11:13:04

Hi to all--
Wellbutrin has proven to be quite innefective for me, and that is putting it mildly. This is probably the worst med. experience with the exception of Anafranil.
I've been so panic- ridden, I do not dare to leave my house. Other effects: nausea, confusion, insomnia, mental agitation and confusion, psychotic thoughts, compulsive behavior.

My next appointment with a new Pdoc is a couple weeks away. My Family Doctor has given me a mild tranquilizer so I can at least function. I cannot wait four weeks for the Wellbutrin to maybe stabilize itself. I have too many responsibilities, including being a Mom, which the most important one, of course.

Question to anybody, how long does it take for a med. to get out of my system?

My Doc. also gave me a prescription for Prozac, mainly b/c I asked him for it, since it had been effective for a year or so. He was relunctant to give me anything else, he urged me to see a Pdoc instead. I was lucky to find one that was even taking new patients. There was only one in this area that was and for that I have to wait about 3 weeks. That't pretty crazy to me.

Thanks to all for your support. I've been reading most of the posts to acquire knowledge and to keep me going.

I also ordered Dr. Jensen's book, I'm interested in finding out more about his treatment method.

Peace to all and thanks, again.
