Jessica,

For obvious genetic reasons I can't comment on part of your post, But I did want to comment on the Neurontin. I am Bipolar II and was recently started on Zyprexa and 2 days later Neurontin. When the Neu was added into the mix I noticed a profound change in my mood. I feel more relaxed and am able to think more clearly. I do believe that the Neu has really helped me.

As for the alcohol, you should check with your doc to be sure that there are any potentially dangerous side-effects, but as long as your not you don't plan to climb behind the wheel of a car, I wouldn't think a glass of wine here and there would do any damage. But you know your limits better than anyone right?

Hope this helps.
