Benzo's can cause psychosis, lead to dependance, induce memory problems, and will slow you down. things should get back to normal if you stop taking them.

I am not sure how to explain this, but for example....my thought process has seemed to slow down as well as a noticable progression of taking longer to be able to verbalize thoughts ( sorry, I know this sounds weird and its hard to explain). I have been on different medications for several years, and I was wondering especially with the high doses of different benzo's that I have been on, if this could be a side effect of long term use? Does anyone have any information about long term use of benzo's? And if this can begin to impair your cognitive functioning?
