> Thanks!Racer, I've been on Effexor-XR for almost a year I think, and have found it quite helpful in decreasing OCD and depressive symptoms. Lately, with a recurrence of depression (after my mother's death, among other stressors), I started taking Serzone and Seroquel, which seem to have boosted the effects of the Effexor-XR. I suspect there's no magic pill which will completely eradicate depression, when life events keep happening, the weather changes, etc. But the meds hopefully can keep us from hitting bottom until things seem under control again. Like Shar, I've experienced anhedonia and a feeling of "numbness" on Effexor-XR, but that's preferable to the total feeling of being in a "black hole" that I feel without it.--Cindy W
