I have no experience of bulimia, but apart from that I had similar experiences taking Paxil, and also with Remeron. They did nothing for my depression, made me tired and lethargic, and made me put on weight, especially the Remeron.

When I found something that worked, it was like a miracle, my life improved drastically in a few days. I didn't stay quite as perfect as that all the time, but I moved from being continually depresssed and feeling hopeless for months, to feeling pretty OK most of the time.

I needed something energising to get me going, for me reboxetine plus Paxil did the trick (low dose of Paxil). The reboxetine by itself didn't work.

I am now strating to try Wellbutrin plus Paxil, as still get sexual problems and some of the Paxil lethargy side effects some of the time, Wellbutrin is supposed to counter these.

I do attribute my dramatic recovery to the meds primarily, but I think other things going well or badly in your life at the same time have a big effect too.

Hang in there!

Leonardo
