> DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE IN THE HELL TO GET CLORGYLINE!!!!!!?????????
Rogdog, this is probably the most important question I have seen asked on this board with regard to clinical treatment.Clorgyline is the most potent MAO-inhibitor available, and is, in my view, the most efficacious antidepressant in the world.
Clorgyline is no longer being manufactured for human consumption anywhere in the world. I don't believe that it was ever marketed anywhere. The chemical company has been contracted to produce clorgyline for research purposes only: as a biological probe, for in vitro work, for assay work, and for animal experiments.
Those damned rats don't know how lucky they are. If we persevere, perhaps we can develop a taste for clorgyline-treated rats.
I am looking for some suggestions on how to go about petitioning for the development of this miracle for human clinical application. One of the problems is that the patent probably expired a long time ago. What is the incentive for a drug company to start from scratch, spend 13 million dollars for development, devote 3-5 years to get it approved, only to have a generic drug manufacturer say to the FDA, "Me too".
Sorry for the bad news. I have been agonizing over this for the last 8 years.
I took clorgyline for about a year. Easily the most potent single drug I have ever been on. Unfortunately, the FDA did not allow for clorgyline to be combined with any drug other than lithium. I am all but sure that a sprinkle of desipramine would have prevented you from reading this.
