Tori,

You could try taking the 20 mgs at one shot in the morning, but I found it too stimulating, esp. with a couple cups of coffee.

I think the second dose at 7 pm is what's causing the problem. Try taking the second dose at 1 or 2 pm in the afternoon. Also, no caffeine after 2 pm! (that was a must for me)

I found that I needed less sleep on Parnate, period. 6.5 - 7 hours was fine, and more tended to make me less motivated the next day.

After 8 years on the Parnate, I've recently switched to Amisulpride 50 mgs per day on AndrewB and SLS's recommendations. My reaction: amazing stuff. I'm not sure if it's even working, but I suspect something's going on because the weepiness and self-castigation I experienced during the month-long washout from Parnate has abated. Winter will be the touchstone because I've had SADD long before they even invented the term. How I used to dread October-Feb.

To tell the truth, each year I would have to promise myself not to kill myself until March 1st. Seeing as it's October 2, even the idea of making that promise is foreign to me; so something must be going on! I guess the test would be to discontinue the Amisulpride -- but not this year.

Regards,

Seamus
