> Update. I was trying doxepin along with elavil to get away from the cravings of elavil but did not work as I got even more cravings with this combo! I switched to trimipramine (25 mg) and elavil (60 mg) but found this combo not working also (excessive flushing, sweating - felt like menopause but I'm not ready for that yet, thank you!!).

> My doctor wrote a prescription for Ludiomil starting at 10 mg. once daily, increasing to 3 times daily over a period of weeks. This would also be taken along with 60 or 70 mg. elavil to help me sleep and later, hopefully decrease the elavil so the food cravings lessen.

> beebee, I took Ludiomil a long time ago, after imipramine (Tofranil) and Sinequan and before Prozac. I quit the imipramine because of the report of heart problems in some, and I quit Sinequan because I couldn't keep awake. With Prozac, I couldn't reach orgasm and lost all desire. With Ludiomil, I was so spaced out, I went home on afternoon with my groceries, went up to what I thought was my house (why is that gold cadillac parked in my driveway??) and tried to open the front door. Then I wondered, why are those people in my house? I had gone to the wrong house!!! So I stopped the Ludiomil. Hope you have a better experience than I did. Med responses are so different, for different people! Hope it works out for you.-Cindy W
