Klonopin Addiction- self treatment

I'm Interested in any tips and advice in the self withdrawl from a high level klonopin (6mg/day) long term addiction. Klonopin is causeing a need for higher levels of other meds in the treatment of my Bipolar 1 Disorder. Cold turkey attempt ended with convulsions and Seizures. Dr. only lukewarm on idea to withdraw but I'm more serious. Knonopin's adverse reactions mirror my bipolar systoms doubling up my risk factors.
Idea's???
