> First, and most important of all, it does put on weight!< g > Seriously, I have been on Serzone for about two weeks plus and I am about to switch to the heaviest dosage as per instructions... The only effect I have definitely noticed is that when I am up half the night I am no where near as agitated as I used to be... I sort of take it in stride. Prior to this I was on Buspar and it did not seem to have any effect whatsoever! The primary reason Serzone was prescribed for me was to treat what the doctor suspectedmight be an underlying cause of my insomnia. Other than weight gain which I suspect coming from being a bit more relaxed, I have noticed no unusual side effects.I've taken Serzone on and off for a 4 years now, and I did not experience weight gain. I think the drug is very useful for people with anxiety and have trouble sleeping because of excessive worry. Serzone has been effective in alleviating my anxiety related symptoms, however it has not been all that beneficial regarding my depression and that is why I've had periods where I haven't taken the drug in order to try others.
