Well, after 2 pretty normal months my Reboxetine/Neurontin combo started to be less effective.
This time it's not a problem with energy, just depressive thoughts are coming back again.
I deeply regret giving up that combo as it:
-provided energy
-no more oversleeping
-libido increase
-no significant weight gainI've tried adding sulpiride, but this wasn't effective for a long time. So, I don't know what to do.
I can't add Lamictal to it as I get rash. I'm affraid to add SSRI as they recently caused the akathisia (slow moving, when your mind works, but the body doesn't work.)I tried to add mianserin (European Remeron) and that happen.
So I made a change this weekend when I got depressed, and felt my life doesn't make any sense. I started on Minalcipran (Yes, I dig the whole Europe to get that drug).
According to Medline "Minalcipran inhibits both noradrenaline and serotonin.
and is superior in efficacy to SSRIs and is equally and well tolerated. Minalcipran appears to offer a therapeutic advantage over SSRI's."Int Clin Psychopharmacol 1996 Sep: 11 Suppl4:41-6
Clinical efficacy of minalcipran: placebo-controlled trials.Basically, it's European version of Effexor with better tolerability and no sexual side effects.
What I want to do with it:
-try with Neurontin
- add pindolol
- add inositol
- add remeron
- add lithiumBiol Psychiatry 1999 Feb 1:45(3):270-3
Combination of inositol and serotonin reuptake inhibitors in the treatment
of depression. My fellow babblers, what do you think about my options?
Any suggestiond will be appreciated.Anna P.
