I'M NOT SURE IF I'M DEPRESSED OR EXPERIENCING ANXIETY AT TIMES. I'M SO CONFUSED 'COS I KNOW THE SYMPTOMS OVERLAP. I HAVE A HARD TIME SLEEPING, YET I AM AM EXTREMELY EXHAUSTED AT TIMES. I FEEL SO SUICIDAL, YET I KNOW I WON'T ACT ON IT. I CAN BURST INTO TEARS IN JUST SECONDS. I CAN'T CONCENTRATE. I FEEL LIKE A BALL OF CONFUSION AND AM GOING THROUGH A DIFFICULT TIME MENTALLY AND PHYSICALLY, AND I DON'T KNOW WHY????? DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT IS HAPPENING TO ME, OR HAS EXPERIENCED THIS SEE-SAW EFFECT. IT'S EXHAUSTING THE LIFE OUT OF ME. I HAVE MY NEXT APPT. WITH MY DR. ON 9/8/00 AND FULLY INTEND ON EXPLAINING THIS, BUT IN THE MEANTIME, CAN ANYONE RELATE????

> Hamster - I think lots of us have been where you are now. When I first started being treated, I was on multiple medications, and sorting through the side effects to figure out what you should adjust, is an extremely frustrating process. It's really important that you realize that there are drug adjustments that can be made to make a positive difference, and that you will feel better if you ride this wave. This is a tough thing to do, because when you are really depressed, it generally has a very permanent feel to it. Keep us all posted. ksvt

Hamster, I agree with ksvt...try to ride it out if you can. I've been taking Effexor-XR for about 9 months, and at times, feel a resurgence or breakthrough of depression. Keep on trucking and please let us know how you're doing! Right now, life is FUBAR for me (I'm depressed, my whole life is a mess, my OCD is back) and I don't see my pdoc until 9/18. Be sure to discuss how you feel with your pdoc...the last couple of months, I've noticed a decrease in energy (and inability to sleep without a small dose of Serzone); maybe the body adapts after while, so the dosage needs to be adjusted, or something (?). Anyway, I can relate!!--Cindy W
