Celexa and eye pain

Posted by SC on August 26, 2000, at 17:14:34

I get itching and burning eyes and feeling of grit in them to the point of extreme pain with Celexa. I tried it several times and it happens every time and once I had hugh hives on it. The Celexa worked for my mood but the physical effects were intolerable. Now I am trying effexor and it doesnt seem to do much but make me feel droopy and my eyes are slowly bothering me more and more with it. The info on Celexa says it can cause eye pain and problems with tears. The info on Effexor says it can cause something with eyes called Mydriasis. Has anyone else had this happen? Can I expect that all the serotonin uptake drugs (if there are more than these two) will do the same thing to me?
