I am a member of a bipolar disorder discussion group and neurontin is used quite readily by many of the participants. I have noticed that they are taking it because the side effects from lithium and depakote were too severe and the SI's from neurontin are not. Don't know if this helps you but it's all I really now about neurontin. I'm on lithium myself and haven't had any trouble.I hope you have good luck with the neurontin, I haven't heard anything terrible about it, its actually had great reviews on the bipolar sites I've been to.
Best wishes
Tina> I have been surfin' the net and was really curious as to what the real scoop was on this drug was as a mood stabilizer. I take Celexa 50 mg; topamax 25mg pills 3, three times a day and sonata 10mg to help me sleep and then I was just put on 300 mg of neurontin. I am reading some pretty scary sutff about this drug and was woundering if there was any truth to it.
