Prozac plus Wellbutrin

I have been on Effexor (300 mg) for 8 mos and now it seems to have stopped working. That is, I no longer have the engery, lift and optimism on which I had come to depend. I thought I had found a solution, but now I am very fearful of falling back into depression. Being a a recovering alcoholic and addict, I may be chasing the high rather the prevention of depression. I tried increasing the dose of Effexor to no avail, and I am now switching to Prozac plus Wellbutrin. Does anyone have experience with this combination as a useful alternative? What can one expect from long term use of the SSRIs?
