Mit, yeah your situation is similar to mine. I'm a productive and responsible student yet I always feel that I'm either: A) sucking up the pain as you say since I have accomplished many things to be thankful for, B)Giving in to the feelings,C)tossing the thoughts around in my head for days on end thinking I'm losing my mind, or D)Believing that I'm just a mental wuss and worry about way too much negligible stuff. Have you thought about focusing more on your therapist? 'Cause meds will only go so far,,,,we are in fact human and in the flow of this chaotic network of events called life. Maybe you could try to find more spiritual meaning or hobbies to work with. I say this only because from my experience, therapy and psychiatry should go hand in hand with each other. But also, I've noticed that positive events and emotions tend to come around in a cyclical nature when you least expect it or are not even looking for it. "surrendering to your pain" as the Zen masters say. Don't give up....
