Hey Dari: "depabloat" I love it. Definitely accurate description.
Anyway, it sounds like your metabolism slowed down and now it doesn't know you want it to speed up again. Moderating the diet is a good idea as long as you do it right. I use the 40-30-30 rule. 40% of calories from carbs, 30% from protein and 30% from fat. I know 30% fat sounds high but believe me it isn't when it comes to proper nutrition. Also, no matter how much running around you do, you won't drop any weight unless you rev up your metabolism and the only way to do that is building lean muscle. Incorporate some training with weights into your exercise routine twice or three times a week. I recommend light weights at first for as many repetitions as you can until your muscles are too tired to do anymore. Then move up to higher weights and fewer reps as you start to build muscle.
It's very important to make sure you are eating enough. You sound very active and if you limit your calories too severly, your body will store fat to use as energy for it's normal everday functions. I don't know how old you are or your height but a woman should never go below 1500 calories a day. If you incorporate the weight training you might need to increase that base amount to 1800-2000 calories. just make sure you are eating complex carbs and don't completely limit your fat intake. Stick to olive oils, flaxseed oil and fish oils, omega three's. Stay off the saturated stuff as you probably know. Try to get a little protein at every meal and Never ever let yourself go hungry. three meals a day and 2 snacks(about 100-150cals) Everyday is a sound program in my humble opinion.

hi everyone:
> I'm here again. I've really missed the board, but the last month has been good a one. Over the last couple of years on meds, I've managed to put on about 20 pounds. I'm no longer on meds that cause weight gain ie. seroquel, depabloat and numerous others. However, I can't seem to lose the weight caused by these guys to begin with. Exercise, moderate eating still doesn't seem to help. I play tennis, run around with my child and still can't drop the weight. I'm not fat - still a size 8 (used to be a 4). Am I doomed to be at this weight cause of the meds, or is there a decent diet type of pill out there that I can use to supplement my diet? As always, I appreciate your help and advice!
