S.D.,
Thank you for your summary on your anxiety med trials and your report on your amisulpride trial in particular. I will file it with other posters' responses to track amisulpride's efficacy. Sorry it didn't work for you.
I noticed that you haven't tried buspirone, which is sometimes effective.
Pramipexole (Mirapex), according to a recent study can be effective for depression. It is my hunch that it also may be effective for social anxiety since it targets the same receptors (D2/D3) as amisulpride and sulpiride, and may be effective for social anxiety when the latter drugs aren't because it acts via a different mechanism on those recpetors (direct agonism). I saw an animal study that showed pramipexole to have an anxiety lowering effect. My preference would be to try pramipexole before sulpiride.
Adrafinil sounds like a good choice to try.
Selegiline (at 5mgs/day) has helped me with my social anxiety. It has made the effect of amisulpride more robust for me. I don't know though if it only works in combo. with the amisulpride I'm taking or may work also by itself. One small study reproted that it had a modest efficacy for social anxiety. In some thug, I believe, it may cause agitation when taken alone.
Hope you stay in touch, if only infrequently.
Best wishes,
AndrewB
