In reply to Ritalin, Adderall, Dexadrine, and Desoxyn, posted by jojo on July 20, 2000, at 23:58:59
Ritalin caused huge mood swings, and being dxed with bipolar disorder I really know about mood swings :-) With Adderall, I didn't feel abnormal or weirded out, the CNS stimulant induced mood swings no longer exist. Adderall is very smooth, and very steady, although you should note that I'm a super-fast metabolizer and that makes a significant difference in terms of meds and their effectiveness. The other two I haven't tried, but have learned through this babble-land board that Dexadrine is very similar to Adderall in its effectiveness and side-effect profile (i.e not a roller-coaster ride like Ritalin.)
Hope this helps a little :-)
