Hi Jenny - I did get your email. Did you get my reply to it? Hope so.
My gosh - you sound like a walking cyclone! Where on earth do you get the energy!!! It sounds like you're close with your family. That's nice. My parents aren't living. They died before I was even married the first time, so they never got to see my kids, which I'm sad about. Do you know what exactly you go on holiday with the boat?
Glad you like the new van so much.
My recent episode with my son is outlined on my post of today to Kerry B. I don't feel like writing it twice. I'd been feeling pretty down for about 3 days, but now I'm getting my plan in place, I'm feeling a bit better. I'll talk me about it as it evolves. I spoke with my family doctor at length today & he's so nice & helpful & SUPPORTIVE.
I was pleasantly suprised today. I'm a sissy about needles. I accidentally poked a knife into
my palm (about an inch & a half down from my baby finger) on Friday after I'd washed it at a housecleaning job & tried to put the handle that had fallen off back on. It went in deep & hit something & I felt that "hitting your funny-bone" - pins & needles, tingling feeling in a jolt. I got really scared, pulled the knife out & ran cold water on it then pressed a paper towel firmly on it. It didn't bleed much, but felt all numb. Anyway I showed it to the doc today & discussed it & it's okay, it seems, but I told him my tetanus shot was a few months over 10 years old so should I get another one. He said yes & as he prepared it I got nervous but it hardly hurt at all!! Less than a mosquito bite. I was glad & also proud of myself that I didn't get too upset.
How frustrating to keep having to wait for the medical reports. I'll be interested to know the results.
I'm going to Guelph (about 2 hours from here) tomorrow (Tue) morning to spend a few days with my delightful 24-yr-old daughter. I'm excited about it.
I'll be in touch with you when I get back.Take care, Jen. :-) Hugs, Kath
