> Does anyone know what the final word is regarding Buspar's effect on antidepressant efficacy? I take Wellbutrin which seems to be a great antidepressant. Very stimulating. One of the negative aspects of the stimulation for me is a sort of anxious worry and guilt. Buspar nips this in the bud. I'm just wondering, though......if it suppresses that effect, can it also supress other effects of the Wellbutrin, namely the antidepressant effect? Anyone have an experience of Buspar diminishing the efficacy of their antidepressant?

I have heard comments all over the map when Buspar is combined with antidepressants. Everything from magical to suicidal and everything inbetween. It is one of the least predictable and least understood chemicals ever created, in my opinion. I don't think there's any possible way to say how it would or wouldn't affect Wellbutrin's efficacy. Only a personal trial would tell. And your own personal trial would likely be markedly different than someone else's.
