> This is my first time on this board. I have been under treatment for depression for many years, off and on.I have also been recently diagnosed with adult ADHD. I was currently switching from Welbutrin to Effexor to relieve my depression, when the ADHD thing came up. My depression is already starting to lift and I seem to be tolerating the side effects well so far, but it has only been about 10 days.

I was wondering if anyone else here has had it perscribed for ADHD symptoms and what kind of success they might have had with Effexor. .I was prescribed Effexor for ADD and depression. I liked what it did, I also took it with the ritalin, and liked that combo best of anything I've tried. However, I had some blood pressure problems and had to get off Effexor and it was hard to go through the withdrawal. I'm on Zoloft now and it's OK but I think it may flatten my emotions too much.
