ICQ is "instant messaging" software...it's a little window that will run on your computer that lets you see who is online at the same time as you. Then you will be able to type messages back and forth in real time to those people that are on your list.
It is a free download, and it is available at www.icq.com. Their website can be a little confusing, but rest assured that you can do it...hehe...just look for "download"...you will go thru a few screens to get there, but once you download it (best to download it onto your desktop), you can double click on the icon and install it. You will then be taken thru registration screens, which are a snap, and then you will be given a number, which is what your "contacts" will need to add you to their icq list.
Sounds like alot, just start at icq.com and download it, everything else should make itself clear. If you get lost or have any other questions, feel free to email me, or Greg I am sure.
Hope this helps!
