Thanks Carol. I also have ADD without hyperactivity and Social Phobia. Basically for me, the ADD means I tend to space off, forget things, that it's hard for me to pay attention to what people are saying at times, difficulty with word recall, especially names of people, things, places. Despite these problems, however, I am more intelligent than average. ADD was never a great problem for me academically. I still managed to get good grades. I avoided lecture classes. I'm a horrible note taker with horrible handwriting and I find it difficult to process aural information. With reading on the other hand I hyperconcentrate and I have always enjoyed writing. Procrastination is a major problem, particularly with practical matters. I don't have many hyperactive symptoms; I don't fidget or have temper tantrums. I tend to be a fairly quiet person and sometimes have difficulty maintaining conversations.

That's what ADD without hyperactivity is for me. Can you relate to these symptoms?
