you raise an interesting topic. i usually use this site for information but i acknowledge my own need for support as well... i have found, however, that when i raise my expectations here, i am usually disappointed. internet relationships, by there very nature, tend to have alot of projecion in them. that is, we make of ourselves and others what we hope will be there, what we want to be there, what we need to be there and what we wish the world was like. i see nothing wrong with this... in fact i think it becomes a reflection of our own views back at us. but it can hurt. and when i hurt and withdraw, then i lose out on the information. it's a precarious balance.
sorry for babbling on... you obviously touched upon something which occupies space in my heart and mind... :) i've been away from psycho-babble for awhile and i am taking the chance of putting it out... most of the time when i go to post, i end up cancelling it... this time i'm making it go.
