Elise,

Back in the days (way back...) when I used recreational drugs, dexedrine was one of my drugs of choice. They made me mean, irritable, edgy, just to name a few, but for some unimaginable reason I still used them. Some people tolerate "dexies" better than others. But your daughter's experience sure has brought back a lot of memories for me. Is she normally hyper-active? Sounds like you need to find an alternative, unless you both are willing to stick it out until when, and if her body adjusts to the drug. This might be a side effect that will pass with time, but I would watch her very closely. I'm sure others can give you a more informed view tham I can, but this was my experience with it.

Hope this helps.

My best to you and Molly,
Greg

> I switched (actually my doc) my daughter from ritalin to dexedrine a few weeks ago. She switched her because molly said she was getting stomachaches an d headaches. Anyways, the last few weeks many of her good friends have told me that she is just not herself...very mean and irritable. I won't talk to the doc till monday, but I am putting her back on ritalin. Is this something that can happen with dexedrine? thanks, elise
