>I have to say honestly that I have no experience with any of the meds that you are on or have been on. My reason for answering you is to say that I don't think your doc is giving the meds enough time to work and you could also be suffering a myriad of side effects from the abrupt withdrawal of more than one med. Withdrawal can be worse than the initial depression and if you are going around and around so many meds in such a short time you could be feeling it in this way. Patience if you can is my advice. I'm sure others here will have better advice but I wanted to respond and let you know that I'm here for ya. Take care and I hope you get some more accurate responses than mine. Beware of the dreaded withdrawal effects though. That might be all it is. Keep in touch---Tina

i've posted to this board before and have always gotten good information, so please don't let me down now.

> my question is this: i've been back on the zoloft for just over 2 weeks, and i'm still not at the dosage he wants me at, so i know i'm not at max dosage. how long will it be before the zoloft kicks in? i had heard that it could take up to 12 weeks to kick in, but i was thinking that since i had been taking an SSRI and the serotonin should still be there, wouldn't it take less time to kick in? could my system be all screwed up right now because i was on different meds for short periods of time?
