During the last year or so we've seen a few people with real life experiences with Moclobemide, me being one of them. I do recall several people who responded well to it, though I don't recall the time frame for the drug to kick in.
With me and a few others here, Manerix actually caused worsened depression with agitation that wasn't there before. These negative effects were noticed on the very first day and did not go away in several weeks of enduring the trials. So if you try it and have negative effects quickly, there's a real good chance it's not the right drug for your chemistry. On the other hand, if it's neutral or good at the start, then it will be worth giving a longer trial to see how it goes.
In literature I noticed that Manerix is often most effective at doses above the stated maximum dose. But of course, if we can't tolerate low doses, there's no way we'll ever be able to get to the higher ones.
What DON'T the docs tell ya? Well, I don't recall them ever telling me I might get worse instead of better. And I don't recall them telling me I might experience severe anorgasmia/numbing of sexual function. Moclobemide supposedly has few, if any, sexual side effects. Not so with me.
As with all meds, your mileage may vary. There's no way to tell without a personal trial, unfortunately. If you decide to try it though, I would be very interested if you could keep us up to date on how it goes.
