Hi Gloria,
There have been a few folks who have posted here describing Klonopin's capability to worsen depression. For people like me, the anxiety and depression are so closely linked, tho, that it can have the opposite effect.
I take 1mg in the AM with my other meds (100mg desipramine, 20mg ritalin SR). It may seem funny that I'm taking a benzo and a stimulant together, but they work on different things. 95% of the time, that 1 mg removes the constant buzz vibrating my nerves that I've lived with for as long as I can remember. From the time I first took it, that buzz has been missing and it's absence has been one of the best feelings I've ever had. The other 5% of the time, when I'm really getting nailed with stress, another 1mg can set things straight pretty quick. Otherwise, I guess I'm rather fortunate in that I really haven't noticed any side effects from it at all.
Good luck
bob
