I'm with Bob on this one. Klonopin worked great for my GAD and Panic. It also has the added benefit of having a longer half-life than Xanax. You won't have to take it as many times per day to keep it in your system or it will just stay in your system at a higher level. It is well worth exploring with your doctor.
