DC, Among other things, I'm a musician. Musicians have tended to think that their best work was drug induced until they got straight. It didn't take long after getting straight that they realized they had been kidding themselves.
As we all well know, so many greats died before that realization. I've played for 25 years and have seen musicians(heavily drugged) during a gig, thinking they were rippin it up. The rest of the band wanted to crawl behind the amps.
The romanticised idea of the tortured artist being at his or her best on drugs is bullshit.
If you're good w/ drugs, you'll be far better w/o them.Just my opinion,
Phil
