Hey John.
How are you? I'm not doing so well. I'm thinking about asking my doctor to add Neurontin to the Lamictal 300mg/day I am currently taking. I'm guessing that if it is going to help, I'll know within a week or so. I really don't think it is worth more than a two week trial.
Could you review the details of what you did after your finishing your trials of the SSRIs?- After you discontinued the last SSRI, were you taking any other medications?
- Which was the first drug to which you responded positively? How long did it take for you to feel anything? Did you continue with it or discontinue it?
- What was the sequence of drugs tried and how did you respond to each one.
- Which was the first drug that you decided to take continuously?
- What did you do after beginning this drug?
Your experience makes a good example of the successful use of the short trial method. I think knowing the exact details how you came about establishing an effective treatment are important to discover under what conditions this method is appropriate or most likely to succeed.Thanks.
Sincerely,
Scott
