I took 100 mg. provigil today and felt much better , but still somewhat "wired". Does this go away? Or should I cut back to 75 mg./day or maybe try 50 mg. 2 x a day????? Any thoughts? thanks, elise

I took 75 mg. this a.m. and feel ok, but I still feel like i have these heart palpitations ---actually more like sighing (do you understand what I am saying?). I am now thinking that maybe it's the combination of the 2 drugs (prozac and provigil)that is causing this reaction. I don't know what to do. I am wondering if i take prozac later in the day if it would make any difference. probably not. I guess I'll see. later, thanks, elise
> since all of us have different chemistries, it makes sense to me that different doses for different people will provide different results. Sometimes only a tiny dose is needed to correct the problem. So if you find Modafinil is beneficial at a substandard dose, cool, don't argue with results. As an example, the minimum literature dose of Prozac is 10mg a day. But some people do best at 5mg a day, or 10mg every other day. Someone else might need a dose much higher than the literature maximum. Prozac doses of 100mg to 200mg are not unheard of. Sometimes we have to take what literature says with a grain of salt and simply go with what works for us.

I prefer to simply go with whatever works and let medication reactions--positive or negative--guide me. We have to custom tailor our treatment to fit us as unique individuals with unique chemistries.
