I can go about two days on one 75 milligram extended release pill. I really want to get off of this stuff. Don't get me wrong, it has trully done a great job, but I don't like how addicting it is. My withdrawl symtoms are awful. I just went 7 days without it and finally had to get some more. Is there any way to get off this easily? I had no idea when I started taking it it would be like this. Oh well.

Katey--Effexor XR is available in 37.5 mg. strength. Many have found that low-dose Prozac (with its exceptionally long half-life) is useful in tapering off Effexor; check out CamW's post on this thread from 2/11 for details.
