I'm on Clozaril and Ativan. They work pretty well but I do still have some symptoms. Clozaril is in my opinion one of the best antipsychotic meds available but it does have the drawback of requiring weekly blood tests to make sure there isn't a rare but dangerous side-effect, (white blood cell count drop). The Ativan is for anxiety or agitation and works well but can be addictive. For me the dosage etc. of the meds is a sort of balancing act. Too much and you become lethargic and unmotivated, too little and you might become a little psychotic and hard to live with, (for other people). I would say I am doing reasonably well. Sometimes a low dose of an antipsychotic drug is enough to prevent a relapse and with a lower dose you are less likely to get troublesome side-effects. It might be a good idea to see a counselor every once in a while if you can find one that seems helpful.
