This trial lasted 2 months and the dosage went from 37.5 to the 150mg extended. I never was able to get any return of my enthusiasm for life. I didn't leave the house for days at a time. I was not sad, it just was a lethargy and lack of zest for life. I am now, on the advise of my doctor, about to begin on Prozac again. Has anyone had the side effect of hair loss on Prozac?

IF Prozac DID THE trick before...GO for it..and run with it. As a little bit of extra help, you might want to ask your doc about any local support groups you can go to once in awhile for depressed persons. I have been on a.d's for about 7 years, but am just going that route now. BEST of luck...and hang in there...it's all we can do!

Sorry to hear some have had no zest for life or whatever, on Effexor-XR. It has made me feel like being alive again, and I even feel HAPPY sometimes for no reason, which shocks me! (I can learn to live with it, though!).
