Thanks for responding. I was reading through some psychobabble archives earlier and by chance I noticed a post from you (I think) that suggested we have a very similar condidition - i.e. eating disorder, OCD, bipolar etc. The most interesting thing is that I do not experience rapid cycling or an impulse control problem (the very two symptoms you noted as factors that made anafranil impossible for you).

Thankyou so much, you have given me the confidence to think seriously about going back on Anafranil (possibly with a low dose of Remeron for sleep).
