If I had pick one of my meds to stay on and the rest to quit, I'd choose to keep taking Zyprexa. I take 5 mg of it about 6-7 hours before I go to bed, so you can tell that it doesn't sedate me. It seems to settle me down. It's hard for me to describe how it makes me feel. One thing I like is that I sleep like a log now. During the summer, people can mow their lawns right next to my window and I don't even hear it. The downside of Zyprexa is that it's well-known for causing major weight gain. I gained 30 lbs, but I suspect that the combination of other drugs I was taking contributed to the weight gain, too. I've now lost 15 of those pounds. My meds have been changed many times, but I've continued to take Zyprexa. There's supposed to be a new drug coming out that is similar to Zyprexa, but doesn't cause the weight gain. There have been a number threads about Zyprexa that are now in the archives, so you might want to search back a few months at a time to find them.
