Carmen, I have taken Xanax but as silly as it sounds and most people would probably disagree with me, I found it would give me a headache when it was wearing off. So my doctor prescribed clonazepam and it seems to work okay. But you know, I seem to remember him telling me that it IS habit forming and warning me to be very careful about taking it. So I am. I try to limit myself. Maybe that's why it works so well for me. I have panic attacks in the grocery store. I hate going there. Sometimes I feel like everyone is staring at me and I'm going to pass out. I feel like the blood is rushing to my head, I feel extremely hot. There was a time when my husband was there, I could hold his hand and I would be alright, but now, even that doesn't work, I just have to get out and get some fresh air. What do you take for that? Now that's a panic attack, right? Ginny
