I've been hearing a lot of info lately that there is a general concensus that once a person with bipolar is past their 20's and "safely" into their 30's their risk for suicide is practicaly nil. Is this true ? Is this the belief of the psychatric community? I am 36 and bipolar. It has gotten worse than it has ever been. I am wondering how much reproduction plays in the picture. I have nine children and I always felt fine , good "normal " when I was pregnant . Now I have had a hysterectomy and my bipolar has never been worse. I sorry to ramble. I am just really starting to research and learn and I am finding a lot of great info here.
