> I don't have a real answer to your question since I just recently started taking Celexa for clinical depression but I don't think it is necessarily a lifelong thing. My doctor told me I would probably NOT have to be on the meds for the rest of my life. I would discuss this with your doctor or therapist before discontinuing any meds though. I was wondering how your experience with Celexa has been. I've been taking it for about 3 weeks and I think I've finally started seeing the effects but I seem to go up and down throughout the day still. Could you share some of your experiences? Thanks
Hi Robyn- the first 2 months were hard with side effects such as intense sweating, headaches and feeling kind of fuzzy plus the decreased sexual desire and able to achieve orgasm. all have disappeared but the last. It is definitely better but not like it use to be. I am feeling so much better and would like to get off meds but am afraid that I'll sink back into the hole. I really think I've had depression since childhood but only mild (perhaps thought I was just moody) but spiraled after my Father in Law died from cancer. That's when I went for help. Good luck to you.
