In reply to fibromyalgia or lyme disease?, posted by Missie on March 4, 2000, at 21:01:12
i don't really have the answers to your questions, but i believe that you can be tested for lyme's disease pretty easily. also, deer ticks are so tiny--the size of the period ending the last sentence--that often you don't know if you have been bitten. a bullseye rash often, but not always, accompanies a bite, along with flu like symptoms.
good luck in your search,
juniper
I have been reading some of the stuff on the web and came across an e-mail about the idea that fibromyalgia may be misdiagnosed and you may actually have lyme disease. I really don't think that I've ever been bitten by a deer tick, but does anybody know if there are other ways to catch lyme disease or am I chasing a wild goose?
