> Chris A.Chris...thanks for your empathy. Our child is actually a foster child who we are planning to adopt. We are both in our early 50's and have had no children...so imagine the shock! Anyway, eventually my husband decided to stay home. I do have a good support system, but at this point in my depression it's really hard to reach out for help. I love our boy a lot, but at this point I really can't stand him...you probably know what I mean. I'm also pretty angry at my psychiatrist, whose phone response to my telling him I was feeling worse was, "Well, you know if you do anything to harm yourself they're going to take that boy right away from you". Nothing like a good threat to make you feel better, eh!
