Vesper, Yes, I do think you should stay with us.
I know I am being kind of intrusive, and I am sorry. But I am still concerned about you.
The thing about asking you the question, "Are you still suicidal", is that it seems to me your moods are very unpredictable, variable, and intense. So, sitting in the pdoc's office, maybe you did not feel suicidal. But what is different that would prevent you from feeling suicidal later in the day, from having a mood like the one you had Friday? And what is different from Friday that you are sure you wouldn't act on a suicidal thought, or urge?
I am thrilled if it is true that you do feel better and not suicidal. But because your moods seem to have a rapid way of fluctuating, I still feel very very nervous about you being overcome by a mood of despair and doing something like the OD on Friday.
BTW, what made you nervous about the length of time your pdoc was out consulting with the attending, or looking for the attending?
I hope you take all of these intrusive questions in the spirit they are asked--out of care and concern.
