My guess is that this is a consequence of the drug's pro-adrenergic properties, similar to those of desipramine. I don't think reboxetine is supposed to have any anti-cholinergic effects, those that can act synergistically with the pro-adrenergic effects, but I don't doubt that it may. I have often seen antidepressants touted as lacking one pharmacological property or another, later to be discovered as having it. If reboxetine is somewhat anti-cholinergic, cardio-toxicity might be a concern that the FDA has with this drug. Perhaps this is the issue regarding the wording of the package insert that has been mentioned here by others.
