5-HT and DMT

Can someone help me to understand what the effect of DMT is on levels of serotonin in the Brain? Are the psychedelics simply potent forms of SSRI's? do they both inhibit the reuptake of seretonin in the brain or are the SSRI's more similar to drugs like stimulants? Thank you for your thoughts and help in advance.
