> Hi everyone,

Is this just a symptom of depression? I'm 37. I feel like an early Alzheimer's victim. Right now my psych meds are Celexa and Risperdal. Today I went to a health food store and bought a Gotu Kola tincture. It is touted for its memory improving and mental stimulation qualities. Is anyone having memory problems or has anyone else tried Gotu Kola. I'd be interested...

Cass,

1) Check your cortisol levels at your next checkup to make sure they aren't part of the problem.
2) Gingko Biloba, a supplement, may improve your memory. It enhances cerebral circulation. Other supplements for memory to try are Phosphatidyl Serine and Huperzine A. You can try literally dozens of other supplements for memory, but these are some that I consider most likely to work.
3) ADs, especially SSRIs can leave a person foggy headed or at least not help with cognition. I realized the most improvement to my memory when I found the right AD. For example, NARIs such as reboxetine are generally helpful for mental clarity.
