Thanks.Noa - Electrolytes are the body's salt balance (sodium, potassium, chloride, etc.) that maintain your heartbeat and/or nerve cell firing. Many times they are routinuely done when someone is experiencing medical problems (eg sluggishness, fatigue, etc.) to rule out a psychologically-based or neurochemically-based problem. Dr.B is right, these should be checked. Maybe someone else has a little more info on this; its kinda out of my scope. Take Care - Cam W.
