Russ - Paxil has a tendency to increase anxiety until your body adjusts to it. Don't give up yet. Try a couple of weeks more. I have seen seemingly non-responders at six weeks suddenly respond to a great extent by eight weeks. I know that is a long time to wait, but sometimes the wait is worth it. Many antidepressant failures are due to people not giving the drug enough time to work. By six weeks you should begin to feel better than you do now. Hang in there and good luck. Sincerely - Cam W.
